FAQ’s (Frequently Asked Questions)
How do I know if I’m a candidate for hormone therapy?
If you go through our list of symptoms and answer “yes” to any of them, then you are a potential candidate for hormone therapy and we strongly encourage you to come in for an initial consultation and lab work. Our providers have advanced training and will work with you to decide what therapy or therapies are best for you, and will come up with a plan that you are comfortable with.
Why are two separate visits scheduled? Do I really need a second appointment?
Our initial visit is a time for us to learn about you, evaluate your condition, review your medical history, and perform any necessary lab work or tests. Our goal is to get to the root cause of what is causing any issues you may be experiencing.
The second visit is scheduled to give us time to throughly interpret and discuss your lab results, address your concerns, work with you to develop a potential treatment plan, and answer any questions you may have.
What is a compounding pharmacy?
Compounding pharmacies are specialized pharmacies where medications are individually mixed on site. This allows for more personalized and specialized medication dosages as well as a greater variety for route of delivery of the medication. (Examples: oral, sublingual, transdermal, etc.) Bio-identical hormones and other medications we may prescribe are often only available at a compounding pharmacy. If this applies we will discuss this with you.
Will my insurance cover office visits and lab work?
We are in network with most insurance plans, however policies are very individualized. We ask that you call your insurance company to verify your benefits. It is up to you to find out if you need a referral before visiting our clinic. We recommend you know what your copay and deductible is so that you have a good idea of what your out of pocket costs will be.
If you have questions after checking with your insurance company please call our business office. Phone: (952) 225-5400.
What if I don’t have insurance or my insurance is not in network?
We take pride in offering very competitive pricing and will work with you individually to discuss options. We offer discounted “package pricing” on some procedures that require more than one treatment, or if a combination of procedures is necessary for optimal results. Please call us if you have any questions.
